Board of Directors Nominations
The nominating committee, chaired by former National Alumni Association President Sherri Carr Smith, is calling for nominations for the MSU Alumni Association Board of Directors.
The MSU Alumni Association has Board of Director openings in the following regions for terms of three years to begin on July 1, 2023 and end June 30, 2026: (Region Maps Below)
Out of State Region 2 (incumbent), Out of State Region 3, and State of Tennessee Director (incumbent).
MS Regions North 1 (incumbent), North 2, North 3, Central 1, Central 2, Central 3, South 1, and South 3.
To be considered for one of the open Board of Director seats nominations and/or applications must be submitted. If you are nominating someone else, nominations must be submitted by February 1, 2023. Nominees will then receive a link to then fill out an application. Individuals may also self apply without being nominated. All applications must be submitted by February 5, 2023. The nominating committee will review all received materials and present a slate of directors at the annual business meeting held in conjunction with the Alumni Volunteers Leadership Conference on February 25, 2023.
Board members of the Mississippi State University Alumni Associations are required to attend two regular meetings a year, attend the annual volunteer leadership conference, and serve on committees, attend chapter events in their area, and support and represent their respective region. Board of Director seats are based upon population as outlined in the MSU Alumni Association Bylaws and indicated on the following maps.
