Staff Spotlight – Levon Edmond and Mary Franklin
Two longtime Mississippi State University employees, Levon Edmond and Mary Franklin, continue to devote their time and hard work to the institution. They serve as custodians at the Hunter Henry Center, home of MSU’s Division of Development and Alumni.
For Levon, a 22-year employee, the experience of working for MSU is a family affair.
“My mom Pearlean and my wife Queen both work at MSU, too,” Levon said. “It’s great for our family that the three of us work at the same great place.”
Fellow employee Mary has been at MSU for 25 years, and she has a bittersweet feeling as she plans for retirement next year.
“I love coming to work at the Henry Center and visiting with everyone,” Mary said. “The people and the atmosphere are what make this a great place to work. Everyone is so nice and easy going, and I can have great conversations with everyone in our building.”
Both Mary and Levon have worked at several campus facilities during their tenure with the university’s Department of Facilities Management. Some of their assignments have included the Bost Extension Center, the Chapel of Memories, the MSU Flight Department and the Seal M-Club.
The MSU Division of Development and Alumni thanks Levon and Mary for their service to our alumni, friends and donors as they keep our Bulldog “home” ready for campus visitors.
