Campus BIS program marks anniversary
The business information systems program in MSU’s College of Business will celebrate 50 years of success this fall.
Originally known as business statistics and data processing, the MSU program was one of the world’s first information systems programs in an accredited business college. Former faculty member Dr. Charles Moore began the program in 1963. Since then, the program has graduated over 1,800 students.
A celebration is set for Nov. 15, at 4 p.m. Graduates of the program will gather in room 124 of McCool Hall, for a ceremony followed by social time.
If you are a BIS graduate and would like to attend, contact Dr. Rodney Pearson, professor of information systems, at rodney.pearson.msstate.edu.
