Bulldog Bash brings Black Crowes to Starkville
The American band known as The Black Crowes was recently announced to headline Bulldog Bash 2013. The band is fronted by brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, who bring a perfect mix of 1970s-era rock infused with southern soul and blues to produce one of music’s best live acts. Through the years, The Black Crowes has performed with legends like Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Aerosmith, The Grateful Dead, and Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin.
Bulldog Bash returns to the historic Cotton District on Friday, Oct. 4, the evening prior to the MSU vs. LSU football game. The annual event will also feature performances by country singer Chris Young of “Nashville Star” fame. Known best for singing his hits “Tomorrow” and “Gettin’ You Home,” Young was nominated by the Academy of Country Music for Single of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year honors.
Bulldog Bash kicks off with fanfare and family activities at 3 p.m. Next up is the True Maroon Dawg Rally sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association at 6 p.m.
