Alumni Fellows visit campus
The MSU Alumni Association recently honored the 2012 class of Alumni Fellows the weekend of Nov. 15-17, in conjunction with the MSU vs. Arkansas football game.
Sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association, the colleges, the Meridian campus, and the Office of the Provost, the Alumni Fellows program recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves in their respective careers. They are selected by each college and the Meridian campus and are invited to return to campus to meet with students, both in the classroom and informally.
For over 20 years, this educational activity has served as a means for enriching students’ university experiences by exposing them to outstanding alumni who are willing to talk about specific competencies, attitudes, and efforts needed to succeed. It is an exciting and stimulating way to blend the interests of the accomplished professional, the student and the professor.
This year’s class included:
Mr. Thomas H. “Hunt” Shipman – College of Agriculture and Life Sciences
Mr. Bradley C. Touchstone, AIA – College of Architecture, Art and Design
Dr. David E. Wigley – College of Arts and Sciences
Mr. Paul J. Karre – College of Business
Lt. Gen. Darrell D. Jones – College of Education
Mr. Anthony L. Wilson – James Worth Bagley College of Engineering
Dr. David E. Wesley – College of Forest Resources
Drs. Neil M. and Deborah Maples Williams – College of Veterinary Medicine
Mr. Raymond L. “Ray” Gibbons – MSU-Meridian
