Event schedule released for Super Bulldog Weekend
Mississippi State University is hosting the annual spring homecoming April 19-22 with fun for the entire family. Sponsored again by Regions Bank, the 2012 Super Bulldog Weekend will hopefully be one of the best events to date.
Baseball will take center stage this spring with a three game series against Tennessee. However, a change in the ESPNU broadcasting schedule will move games to Thursday, Friday and Saturday instead of the typical weekend series.
Additional changes include the format of the annual maroon and white spring football scrimmage. Tickets will be required for the game, which is followed by a concert featuring the Grammy Award winning country band Sugarland. The cost will be $15 for students, and prices start at $25 for the general public. Visit hailstate.com/tickets for more info.
The Alumni Association will pass out free MSU ice cream in the Junction from 3 -4:30 p.m., on Saturday, April 21, while supplies last.
Other activities include the SEC Championship Men’s Tennis Tournament, softball versus Kentucky, the annual pig cooking, a football strength and conditioning camp, alumni matches for soccer and volleyball, among other events. The city of Starkville is also hosting the Cotton District Arts Festival on Saturday.
