Annual banquet, conference weekend scheduled for February
Each winter, the Mississippi State University Alumni Association hosts hundreds of its most valuable and dedicated alumni volunteers from around the globe with a two-day special event on campus. The upcoming Alumni Association Awards Banquet and Leadership Conference is set for the weekend of Feb. 6-7, 2015.

Justin Moore tapped as Bulldog Bash headliner
Country artist Justin Moore will headline this year’s Bulldog Bash in October. The event, held annually in Starkville’s historic Cotton District, is sponsored by the MSU Student Association.
MSU to host tailgate at LSU
The Mississippi State University Alumni Association and Bulldog Club will host a tailgate prior to the MSU vs. LSU football game in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on Saturday, Sept. 20. The event will be free of charge and open to all MSU fans.
2015 alumni travel trip schedule set
The Traveling Bulldogs endorsed trips dates are set for 2015. Trips include, Discovery Down Under, Pearls of the Mediterranean, Alaska Passages and more.
MSU to host 50th anniversary of Freedom Summer
Mississippi State University will host a Freedom Summer conference during Oct. 19-21 of this year. Remember Freedom Summer marks the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Summer Project, which is widely known as Freedom Summer of the civil rights movement.
Staff Spotlight – Adam Shields
This Division of Development and Alumni at Mississippi State University is comprised of the Alumni Association, MSU Foundation and Shared Advancement Services. A team of dedicated staff members works tirelessly to ensure the seamless functioning of each of these organizations, and we would like to introduce you to those individuals. This month, we spotlight Adam Shields. Adam serves as the assistant coordinator for chapter and recruiting programs with the alumni association.

Volunteer Spotlight – S. Hollis Hulett
Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, S. Hollis Hulett is the president of the Memphis alumni chapter. He earned two MSU degrees, a bachelor’s in accountancy in 2002, and a Master of Professional Accountancy in 2004. Hollis is a lifelong Bulldog, whose love and devotion for his alma mater has grown exponentially since graduation.

Staff Spotlight -- Adam Shields
Meet our newest staff member, Adam Shields. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2009 with a degree in communication with an emphasis in public relations. With his position as Assistant Coordinator for Chapter and Recruiting Programs, he will be responsible for providing support, guidance and advice for alumni chapters and their leaders, as well as other duties within the alumni association. Date set for alumni band reunion
Former members of the Famous Maroon Band are invited to "save the date" for this year's alumni band reunion. The event will be held on Nov. 7-8, 2014, as the Bulldogs host UT-Martin on the Starkville campus.
