A Bulldog New Year’s Eve – Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 – 6 p.m. until close

Join the Mississippi State University Office of the President, Alumni Association, Foundation, Bulldog Club and Student Association as we ring in the New Year at Jacksonville Landing. Located along the St. Johns River downtown, the Landing will be the official New Year’s Eve headquarters for Bulldog fans. Fans are encouraged to “come and go” to the Landing throughout the day.

Open to the public, guests can enjoy live music, as well as several dining and entertainment options for all ages. This event will be family-friendly, and we encourage all fans to attend. Fireworks on the river will begin at midnight, and guests will have an excellent view from the Landing’s outdoor area and balconies.

Monday’s pep rally will also take place at the Landing earlier that day. Beginning at 1:30 p.m., help us kick off the bowl game with a strong maroon and white showing. Wear maroon, bring your cowbell, and cheer on our Bulldogs! Pom poms and “Beat Northwestern” stickers will be passed out 30 minutes prior to the pep rally at the top of the escalator in the food court area. Following the pep rally, the Gator Bowl Parade will begin at 3 p.m. in Downtown Jacksonville.

In addition, the Regions Bank Bowl Preview Show will be broadcast live from Chicago Pizza and Sports Grille at Jacksonville Landing on New Year’s Eve. The show will air 8-9 p.m. (eastern standard time). Bulldog fans are encouraged to stop by and hear Jim Ellis, Bart Gregory, Matt Wyatt and John Correro discuss Mississippi State football. For those not in Jacksonville, you will be able to listen to the radio show on the MSU radio affiliates.

NOTE: For fans under 21, you will need to purchase THE PATCH to gain entrance to Jacksonville Landing after 8 p.m. THE PATCH will be sold during the pep rally and parade, but not be available that evening. It can also be purchased at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront or the Sawgrass Marriott. Fans who purchase THE PATCH will receive one free drink at Jacksonville Landing, 15 percent off merchandise, and receive other dining and service benefits listed online.
